Ninja, in the form of what looks like to be an ethereal samurai warrior, will be joining the roster of over 500 champions due to his "positive impact in the gaming industry", according to the developer's VP of Marketing.
New games, if they have the financial resources, will often partner with content creators to boost the reach of their game.
Ninja has no doubt made significant contributions on bringing gaming to the mainstream as a viable form of entertainment, often being considered as the first true "gaming celebrity".
